Many worry that a Ouija board can create negative energy and bring on evil spirits. But it's easy to hold a safe Ouija board session if all of the participants maintain a positive frame of mind. So take a few steps to ensure positivity and make your Ouija board session completely safe.
 
     Step 1

Allow only respectful people with good intentions to attend the Ouija board session. People hoping to contact "evil" spirits or make demands on the spirits can invite negative energy into your session. People who make a joke of the Ouija board can have the same effect.

  • Step 2

    Clear the area of negative energy before setting up the board. You can use a sage smudge stick for the clearing, or you can use a positive prayer from whatever religion you practice.

  • Step 3

    Create a positive frame of mind. Each person should rid themselves of negative thoughts and feel perfectly safe before beginning the Ouija board session. Anyone who is convinced that the board is frightening or that it will contact evil spirits should excuse themselves from the session.

  • Step 4

    Work in a well-lit room. Though darkness itself is safe, it can create a spooky environment for some participants and lead to fear or negative thoughts. The Ouija board is a positive tool if you use at as such, so avoid anything that makes it seem spooky or negative.
